A cooperation protocol between the Electronic and Knowledge Services Center of the Supreme Council of Universities and New Mansoura University to grant a certificate in the basics of digital transformation
Prof. Dr. Moawad Al-Kholy, President of New Mansoura University, signed a joint cooperation protocol with Prof. Dr. Muhammad Mustafa Latif, Secretary of the Supreme Council of Universities, Prof. Dr. Ibrahim Fathi Moawad, Dean of the Faculty of Computer Science and Engineering, New Mansoura University, and Prof. Dr. Rami Zaki Iskandar, Deputy Director. Electronic and Knowledge Services Center of the Supreme Council.
Based on the responsibility of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and all its institutions and bodies towards the digital transformation of the university community as well as civil society;. The Supreme Council of Universities had decided to activate the “Fundamentals of Digital Transformation FDTC” certificate, which includes a number of training programs for which it qualifies through comprehensive training packages targeting categories of the university community, including graduate students, faculty members, their assistants, and employees of the state’s administrative apparatus and civil society. This certificate is one of the building blocks in building the digital university community in the era of digital knowledge and innovation. The Supreme Council of Universities issued a decision to activate the “Fundamentals of Digital Transformation FDTC” certificate for graduate students, faculty members, their assistants, and employees of Egyptian universities to provide them with basic knowledge of information technology and its applications.
In this context, the two parties agreed to cooperate between each of them by activating the Digital Transformation Foundations Certificate and applying the related training activities and tests to undergraduate and postgraduate students and those affiliated with New Mansoura University, provided that accredited centers for training and tests are prepared for programs that qualify to obtain the certificate. The basics of digital transformation are the subject of this protocol, and the Electronic and Knowledge Services Center at the Supreme Council of Universities forms committees concerned with increasing accreditation for these centers.
Ed Moawad Al-Kholy stated that New Mansoura University nominates the trainers in charge of training in these centers to obtain TOT training courses at the Electronic and Knowledge Services Center of the Supreme Council of Universities and accredit them. New Mansoura University regularly follows up on the performance of its accredited training centers and learns about feedback. Feedback to the trainees and notify the Electronic and Cognitive Services Center of the Supreme Council of Universities immediately to improve and develop the training system. New Mansoura University identifies a training official who will be the point of contact with the Electronic and Cognitive Services Center of the Supreme Council of Universities to ensure the successful performance of the task on time.
The Electronic and Knowledge Services Center at the Supreme Council of Universities grants the Fundamentals of Digital Transformation Certificate to any New Mansoura University students who successfully pass the training on an ongoing basis and at specific times, provided that New Mansoura University is provided with any amendments made to the scientific content of the training program and the method of evaluation and training. ; In line with the requirements of the Central Unit for Training and periodic supervision of the management of the training program for the Basics of Digital Transformation Certificate at the training center accredited by New Mansoura University based on joint coordination together, and working to develop and improve the quality of training provision whenever needed and grant certificates.
