Program Description

A specialized program that qualifies graduates to work in medical and research laboratories and bridge the gap between the laboratory physician and technician in this discipline. The program provides the required basic and laboratory sciences with emphasis on acquiring practical skills in various subspecialties of the medical laboratory. It ensures mastering the use of laboratory equipment based on full understanding of the fundamental engineering knowledge related to its functioning together with training on operation, maintenance and troubleshooting. The program also includes total quality management as it relates to medical laboratories as well as periods of training in hospital laboratories to be exposed to real life laboratory work.

Program Description
  • The Bachelor of Radiology Science and Medical Imaging Technology program is designed to prepare technologists who are capable of performing various procedures of radiology and medical imaging of the human body, and the operation of different types of modern equipment to produce high quality diagnostic images. The radiological Imaging program is designed as a specialized program to work with radiology departments and close the gap in this field in the labor market and to improve the level of health service through the graduation of qualified and competent health technicians to assist physicians in the diagnostic and therapeutic purposes of diseases.
  • The program includes the teaching of basic science and Radiological sciences to acquire theoretical information and practical skills in various types of radiology and medical imaging. It also includes a full understanding of the technical and engineering infrastructures related to the devices in order to master their operation and maintenance and first dealing with their faults. Hospital radiology training includes all areas that the student has studied in theory and practice in actual working conditions.
  • The program introduces the concepts of infection control in radiology departments and the concepts of the total quality of the use of radiology and medical imaging and training in their application. The program aims to prepare national cadres qualified scientifically and practically in the fields of radiography technology.
Program Description

A specialized program that qualifies graduates to work in the dental laboratory and provide them with the basic sciences with a focus on acquiring practical skills and mastering the use of dental equipment and equipment and devices based on a full understanding of the engineering fundamentals related to the method of work and full training in terms of operation, maintenance and handling of faults. The program also provides students with the theoretical and practical knowledge of the construction of transitional and cobalt chromium. Construction of fixed compensation including mineral and metal-related ceramics, complete ceramic and construction of compensations supported by dental implants. And provide students with theoretical and practical knowledge to work at different orthodontic devices used in dentistry.

Program Description

It’s a specialized program, which enables the graduate to work under supervision of anesthesiologists – before, during and post anesthesia- and under supervision of Intensivists. The graduate can also deal with anesthesia and intensive care equipment, keep them, identify the defects which may happen and repair them and can ask help from bioengineers in difficult problems. Thus, he/she can help and act as link between doctors of anesthesia and intensive care in one side and engineers of medical equipment.

Program Description

This specialized program that qualifies graduates to work under the supervision of intensive care physicians, and to deal with ventilators and other respiratory equipment and tools, and maintain them, and identify the failures, and repair the simple ones, that it helps and qualifies the patient to wean from the ventilator and improve the patient's health.

Program Description

A specialized program for the graduation of technicians in the prosthesis and orthosis industry, which is a growing specialty in the world because of the lack of expertise available in this field. This graduate is to complete the medical team to provide appropriate care for various patients. The program teaches the necessary science needed to manufacture orthotic and prosthetic devices with focusing on the acquisition of practical skills in this area to perfect the manufacturing of the prosthesis or orthotic suitable for the patient. This is achieved through a full understanding of the biomechanical principles related to the motor system as well as the basics of engineering relating to the manufacture of prosthetic and orthotic devices. The program involves practical training in specialized workshops and internships in different health institutes.

Program Description

A specialized program for the graduation of technicians for occupational therapy, an innovative field in Egypt, which has not been introduced despite the increasing need for it worldwide to help improve the quality of life for patients suffering from diseases of aging, stroke, neurological or osteoarthritis or cerebral palsy in children. The program provides necessary basic sciences and the sciences of occupational therapy with emphasis on perfecting the patient's assessment and design of the program required to assist him in the performance of daily activities and then the implementation of the program designed, based on a full understanding of the biomechanical fundamentals related to the motor system. The program also includes training for the student to apply different remedial programs as well as a period of training in hospitals to activate theoretical information and acquire practical skills.

Program Description

This specialized program qualified graduates to work as opticians so that they can provide multiple services in the field of medical lenses and meet the needs of the community of highly qualified personnel in this area. The program provides students with the necessary theoretical basic sciences in optics as well as training in acquiring practical skills and mastering the operation of both diagnostic and therapeutic devices. The program is dedicated to teaching the concepts of total quality of optics in addition to a practical training period to gain experience in the actual working conditions, as well as contribute to the provision of academic consultations and the development of community health services.
