A workshop by Siemens International Company “Enhancing awareness and raising the capabilities of human resources to keep pace with the Fourth Industrial Revolution”
Under the patronage of Mr. Prof. Dr. Moawad El-Kholy, President of New Mansoura University, and the supervision of Mr. Prof. Dr. Ibrahim Fathi Moawad, Dean of the College of Computer Science and Engineering, and Mr. Prof. Dr. Wael Siddiq, Dean of the College of Engineering, and in the presence of the deans of colleges, directors of scientific programs, and a group of faculty members and students, In addition to the university's administrative staff, Siemens held a workshop with the aim of enhancing awareness and raising the capabilities of human resources to keep pace with the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
The work team from Siemens participated in the workshop, led by Mr. Wael Omar - Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors and Head of Digital Industries, who spoke about the future of the industry at the global and local levels, as he stressed the importance of benefiting from digital transformation applications; To improve production efficiency and raise product rates, and the importance of developing human resources to keep pace with digital transformation in the field of industry.
The first Siemens workshop presented several topics in the field of digital transformation, the most important of which are: Digital Twin and the latest automatic control and monitoring systems, and training on these systems through courses and training programs approved by Siemens.
Prof. Dr. Moawad Al-Khouli stated that negotiations and discussions took place to sign a joint cooperation protocol with representatives of the international company Siemens, to include providing training and education in the field of automatic control, digital transformation, product life cycle management, and a number of additional fields. This training may include developing and presenting Training materials, exchange of lecturers, development of training programs, including the development of common core training, practical learning activities, general program standards and testing materials, and improving the quality of education and training.
Innovating ways to achieve integration between theoretical and practical training, setting professional standards, accrediting teachers and students, providing technical support to the university, including support and guidance for the development of university programmes, conducting periodic visits to evaluate the level of work and the agreed upon training and activities that have been implemented, granting the university a laboratory Advanced simulation of factory technology and industrial product design, increasing awareness of the importance of digitization to reach global standards, and providing continuous development for engineers.
Linking academic education with industry by solving problems from industry, equipping centers with integrated training equipment and software, and providing training on various software.
