Professor Dr. Moawad Muhammad Al-Khouly, President of the University, witnessed the religious symposium organized by the University under the title “The Qur’an in Ramadan: Understanding, Meditation, and Action,” by His Eminence Professor Dr. Shawqi Ibrahim Allam, the Grand Mufti of Egypt, and Chairman of the Supreme Council of the General Secretariat for the role and fatwa bodies in the world.

The President of New Mansoura University welcomed His Eminence Professor Dr. Shawqi Ibrahim Allam to the New Mansoura University, noting that this symposium is the beginning of a number of religious meetings scheduled to be held for members of Mansoura University in Hodeidah, during which a number of religious summits will be hosted that will provide knowledge, benefit and culture to the students. His Eminence the Mufti said that the Holy Qur’an is a way of life that came for the happiness of humans, and it is considered a comprehensive approach to life that aims to guide humans towards happiness and success in this world and the hereafter.

This came in his speech at the educational symposium held by New Mansoura University under the title: “The Qur’an in Ramadan: Understanding, Meditation, and Action.”

His Eminence the Mufti pointed out that the Holy Qur’an was revealed at night, as if the issue of the night was the focus of a Muslim’s obedience. When night came, the righteous would rejoice as they stood before their Lord, the Almighty, for the night is the shelter of the righteous.

His Eminence explained that fasting and the Qur’an will intercede for the Muslim on the Day of Resurrection. Fasting will say, “O Lord, I prevented him from eating and drinking during the day, so intercede for me in it,” and he will intercede for him in it. And the Qur’an will say: “I prevented him from sleeping at night, so intercede for me in it,” and it will intercede for him in it.

The Mufti of the Republic stated that the first thing that was revealed from the Qur’an was the saying of God Almighty: {Read in the name of your Lord who created}, and the reading includes two types of knowledge, the knowledge of the universes and the written knowledge, and when these verses were revealed to the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him and his family, he trembled, and he quickly went to his wife, Mrs. Khadija, may God be pleased with her.

His Eminence said: “There is an important indication in this situation, which is that the husband and wife are the place of reassurance and comfort and the solution of problems between them. Therefore, the first revelation that came down to the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him and his family, went directly to his wife, Mrs. Khadija, may God be pleased with her, because she is the place of residence and affection, and she is In turn, she reassured him strongly and enumerated the good qualities in him to reassure his heart, and she said to him: By God, God will never disgrace you; you are close to relatives, truthful in speech, bear all things, provide for what is needy, honor guests, and help in the calamities of time.

His Eminence continued: “We need this prophetic touch that the wife is indeed the true refuge for the husband, and the husband is the true refuge for the wife, as they are indispensable to each other.”

The Mufti of the Republic affirmed that the verse {Read in the name of your Lord who created} is a true call to knowledge in general in all its branches, and not just Sharia knowledge, but all sciences. It is not possible for a nation to prevail or civilize unless it has with it the weapon of knowledge, as it is the foundation, and therefore Sharia knowledge is equal to it. Worldly and applied matters of reward and reward. Every knowledge that leads to civilization, development, and benefiting humanity is useful knowledge.

His Eminence the Mufti directed his speech to the university students, saying: “Know that the knowledge that you are learning is within the scope of the noble Sharia and the divine command in all uses of science. God Almighty says: {Say, ‘Travel through the earth and see’), and this cannot be accomplished except through learning and contemplating the sciences.” different.

His Eminence the Mufti said: “Within the framework of our understanding of the noble Sharia, we realize that all the sciences that lead to self-elevation, the development of the relationship between man and his Lord, and the achievement of the interests of the country and the servants are within the framework of the noble Sharia.”

His Eminence explained that all modern innovations and inventions are a double-edged sword, and ethics should be the ceiling that regulates our relationship with them, because if we lose the moral compass, we lose everything. Medical and scientific progress must be controlled within the framework of ethics, as it is a double-edged sword if it is not used properly. It is true that it does not lead to any benefit. His Eminence gave an example of social networking sites that may be used to meet people’s needs, but they may also lead to falsifying awareness. His Eminence the Mufti pointed out that social media networks have discouraged reading, saying: “We need to wake up again, especially among the youth, and we, as the sons of Egypt, have a great and immeasurable ability to excel and rise and achieve the path we are walking on.
