Computer Science and Engineering publishes and presents two international papers at the Sixth International Conference on Computing and Informatics ICCI 2024

Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Moawad Mohamed Al-Kholy, President of the University and under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Ibrahim Fathi Moawad, Dean of the College, and Prof. Dr. Khaled Mohamed Fouad, Director of Programs, a group of students from the Faculty of Computer Science and Engineering at New Mansoura University published and presented two international papers at the Sixth International Conference. ICCI 2024, held at Future University.

The first research is entitled “Arabic Abstractive Summarization Using the Multilingual T5 Model”.

Which introduces an innovative method based on artificial intelligence (AI) and deep learning to provide text summarization in Arabic using the MT5 model.

Participating students: Abdul Rahman Ahmed Karim, Muhammad Osama Tharwat, Walid Wael Shehata, Youssef Hatem Abdel Mohsen, Manar Ashraf Al-Desouki, under the supervision of: Eng. Magi Al-Banhawi, Eng. Ghada Kamel.

The second research is entitled “Weather Prediction Platform using Data Mining.”

Which aims to anticipate and forecast weather changes in an effective manner using different methods in the field of Data Mining.

Participating students: Haya Khaled Al-Sunbati, Manar Ashraf Al-Desouki, Nour Ashraf Al-Naqeeb, Iman Ali Nouh, Haneen Ibrahim Fayez Under the supervision of: Dr. Omar Al-Zaki, M. Magi Al-Banhawi

The college students participated in the conference activities and presented the two research papers before the arbitration committees and many attendees. The attendees praised the ideas and techniques used in the research.

These researches reflect the distinguished academic level of the students, the vision of New Mansoura University in preparing a generation with scientific and research skills that qualify them to compete at the local and international levels, and finally in fulfillment of the college’s motto (Creative Programmer or Junior Researcher).
